Jim qualified as a mental health nurse from the University of Bradford in 1996 and he has worked in a variety of settings, including over 6 years in an eating disorders outpatient unit. This involved working with clients who were recovering from anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder. People with eating disorders will often suffer from other mental health issues, including low mood, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobias and personality disorders, and these issues have to be addressed as well as working directly with issues around food, weight, body image and self esteem
